About Us

The Shelter Charity Foundation is a non governmental organisation duly registered with corporate affairs commission with registration number 159713. Our statement of purpose is primarily to promote and advance networking and partnership with other bodies in the battle of survival and care for the medical wellbeing of the aged, vulnerable in our communities, to cater for the less privileged orphans to inspire and accommodate the widows, advocacy for the girl child education and empowerment amongst the vulnerable populates in the community in order to achieve and live a better life.

The Foundation is designed to help actualize the dreams of the Orphans and vulnerable children, widows, girl child who desires to be successful and be a better version of herself but cannot sponsor herself to achieving this dream, the aged and people living with some health challenge for example, HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis, diabetes,high blood pressure etc. Our pursuit is to bridge the discrimination and stigmatisation especially with people living with HIV and AIDS by boosting their confidence and add value to their lives. This by helping the emergence of the survival strength, the ( Hero and Heroin) in them and providing them with life’s basic necessities and empowerment.

We are built to seeing to the need of all and sundry, irrespective of their religion, age, sex and tribe. No sentiment, no barriers. We intend to offer them a better life with a beautiful bright future, cause them to brace up their confidence and think to be a contributing member of the society or play a vital role in the society.

The Shelter Charity Foundation currently has (3) key staff members and 405 volunteers.

Our Vision

Our vision is to break the shackles/ chains of societal discrimination, restore hope and confidence for a better future and see a healthy self-reliant society.

We believe that the best gift to one another is LOVE which is the greatest gift of all, and is priceless! Since LOVE is priceless and love itself cannot be bought with money.

Life is worth living to the fullest, be surrounded by people who can genuinely show and give it to deprived ones without expecting anything in return.

Everyone should join us in this cause, let love first and make life worth living by touching lives and reaching out to the needy and less privileged in our communities.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve the quality of lives of the vulnerable. Improve their health system, livelihood practice by working with women, youth and children who often are the vulnerable groups in the society through skills development training, micro empowerment, scholarship for the vulnerable children, care and support for people living with HIV and AIDS as well as people affected with diabetes, high blood pressure, tuberculosis and other infectious diseases. We provide every possible assistance to ensure these people live their lives.
